Taco Soup

Another family favorite in the soup department! It was a favorite of mine growing up and a favorite of my husband's now! He especially likes the "big tomato chunks" that are in this soup. I love it too because it's so easy to make, smells great and tastes even better. Yum! I love taco soup!

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion
1 quart stewed tomatoes
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 12 oz can corn (with juice)
1 can kidney beans (with juice)
1 package taco seasoning
Toppings (cheese, sour cream, Fritos--a family favorite)

Directions:
Brown ground beef and onion. Drain grease. Add the rest of the ingredients and let simmer for 20 minutes. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy! I've also toyed around with making this with shredded chicken instead of the ground beef. I think it would taste pretty good. I've also wondered about subbing black beans for the kidney beans. I might try that next time...
